Award-winning training company introduces on-demand training platform; collaborates with IT training gurus, Versatile Communications, to deliver cost-saving, interoperability training.
Class on Demand, a provider of professional educational products for creative markets, is pleased to announce the introduction of their brand new online IT learning platform. Launched today, the new online platform emulates the training methodology of Class on Demand's award winning, video-based curriculum. Its innovative design includes a secured streaming video server employing Microsoft's Silverlight DRM technology, and a flexible payment engine, allowing the purchase of entire courses or individual modules/chapters. "Customer feedback drives our design and delivery methodology. In the past, our users have requested training immediacy through an on-demand delivery platform. Our new delivery platform does just that. It lets customers view any of our titles whenever they want, subsequently evolving our business model and reinforcing our company brand," says Paul Holtz, the CEO and founder of Class on Demand.
Class on Demand is introducing their online learning platform alongside a new IT training curriculum in conjunction with their new training partner, Versatile Communications. IT courses from the partnership are the first set of Class on Demand training courses to be delivered via the online learning platform, beginning with "Integrating a HP ProCurve and Cisco Network." "Class on Demand is known in the creative industry for providing exceptional educational courses for a variety of big-name manufacturers; teaming up with them to produce IT training titles was a logical extension for Versatile," says John Barker, President and Founder, Versatile Communications. "Our partnership with Class on Demand enhances our commitment to deliver solutions that strengthen and enhance the productivity of our IT clients, while helping to reduce their overall technology investment."
Versatile has delivered classroom based training on IT subjects for over 15 years and is well-known in the IT industry for specializing in the tactical implementation of educational programs, including the interoperability between HP ProCurve, Cisco networks and high availability networks. Their expertise and team approach has helped multitudes of clients and businesses streamline their IT workflows. "Versatile Communications' IT services and solutions have been on our radar for years. We wanted to develop IT-related courses and they have now given us a stable foundation to successfully break into this vast market," says Paul Holtz. "We are excited to launch the new platform with our new IT training and look forward to developing more unique IT training courses with Versatile."
"Integrating a HP ProCurve and Cisco Network" delivers an exceptional viewing quality combined with highly engaging instruction. John Lancaster, an industry recognized expert on the topic of Cisco and HP ProCurve interoperability, spearheads over 10 hours of in-depth lessons broken down into three distinct modules on the technical architecture of both Cisco and HP ProCurve networks. Lancaster's instruction encompasses the integration, configuration and management of network switches, which are deployed in an interconnected network, through the use of VLANs, Link Aggregation, Spanning Tree, Rapid-PVST+ and MSTP.
"The interoperability between Cisco and other networking vendors is an issue that constantly plagues the IT community," says Matt Burch, CCNP, HP ProCurve ASE, Audax Technologies. "These training videos provide an invaluable resource for network professionals that want to integrate HP ProCurve and Cisco switches into the same environment. The on-demand availability of these training courses is extremely convenient and eliminates the need to schedule costly or time consuming travel."
"Class on Demand's innovative, new online learning platform is the quintessential training tool for any network professional," says Wayne A. Lawson, Founder and President, IPexpert, a CCIE training company. "COD's new IT training courses cover an immense range of content at such high-caliber production values; an atypical training attribute within the IT space. By partnering with Versatile and working alongside John Lancaster, Class on Demand has secured a top spot within the IT industry with their truly inventive training offerings."
Class on Demand will migrate their existing library of award-winning media training courses to the new online platform, offering titles available for purchase in both streaming video delivery formats and DVD-ROM formats.
