Digital Video Expo '09 Opens Registration, Launches New Site

The 2009 Digital Video Expo — to be held September 22-24 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, CA — has gone live with open registration and a new Web site:

In addition to a complete convention show floor featuring the latest hardware and software for production, post and distribution, Digital Video Expo '09 will offer a series of nightly meeting sessions hosted by top professional organizations — including the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group, the Digital Cinema Society and the RED Los Angeles User Group — as well as three primary conference components:

The three-day Digital Video Expo conference — programmed by the editors of DV and Videography — will include tracks on tapeless production and post, color correction, 3D production, and Web video, as well training sessions such as the RED Boot Camp and Lighting Workshops. Also featured will be advanced educational sessions on cameras from Panasonic, Sony, JVC, Canon and RED.

New this year,  Broadcast Symposium West — programmed by the editors of TV Technology and Television Broadcast — offers a full day and a half of learning for broadcasters transitioning to new intelligent workflows. Topic areas covered will include storage, archiving and content management, file-based workflows, automation, HD acquisition, production and post, 3D, 3 Gig, distribution for multiple platforms, surround monitoring, and more.
