Miranda Gear at Trinity Broadcasting
March 9, 2006

Montreal — March 9, 2006 — Miranda Technologies Inc. (TSX: MT) is providing channel branding systems and terminal gear to Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world's largest religious broadcast network, as part of a station automation project involving 30 TBN affiliates across the United States. The installation, overseen by San Diego-based systems integrator TV Magic, will enable highly automated digital operations at each TBN affiliate, with remote monitoring from the network's Tustin, Calif., hub facility.

"Our goal in upgrading all 30 TBN affiliates is to condense broadcast operations into a smaller footprint, automate functions such as station IDs and EAS, and establish monitoring and control capability from our network hub," said Paul Crouch Jr., TBN's vice president of administration. "Working with TV Magic, we're installing a broad range of Miranda gear that offers the high degree of consistency, functionality, and reliability we require for streamlined distribution of our U.S. programming."

"No vendor can match Miranda with respect to product range and quality, both of which are critical in an installation across so many stations, completed over a relatively short time period," noted TV Magic President Stephen Rosen. "We plan to have all 30 TBN stations upgraded by June, so it's critical that we're partnering with vendors that can provide products and services that work. Miranda has been phenomenal in that respect, providing gear on schedule and responsive support when needed."

A key part of the TBN station upgrade is the integration of Miranda's Imagestore automated master control switching and channel branding processors for playing out graphics that enhance program presentation and encourage viewer loyalty.

The Miranda systems being installed at each facility also include Densité interfacing systems for conversion, processing, distribution, and monitoring. Miranda's space-efficient Densité Series modules allow operators to see the signals they are controlling using advanced visual monitoring over IP features integrated in the processing modules, and this capability allows for much more effective working practices.

The new Densité and Imagestore systems at each TBN station are being deployed in conjunction with Miranda's iControl IP-based facility monitoring and control system. The system can fully integrate third-party control applications to create an end-to-end facility-monitoring environment, with automated reactions to failures and guided operator response.
